I'm an Associate Professor at the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria of Politecnico di Milano. I received an M.S. in Telecommunication Engineering and a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2005 and 2009, respectively. From February 2008 to August 2008, I was visiting the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of The Ohio State University in Columbus (OH) working on routing in Cognitive Radio Networks.

I work on networking topics, my main research activities include radio resource management in wireless networks, software-defined networks, network planning, and optimization. I've co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed conference and journal papers. My research has been developed in collaborations with industrial partners like Vodafone Italia, Huawei Technologies, Nokia Bell Labs.

I serve in the Technical Program Committee of major conferences in networking and I'm Editor of Computer Networks (Elsevier). I'm a Senior Member of the IEEE.
